Ruben "Matai" Oriol-Rivera is an accomplished multi-talent. He special guest stars as Oliver Powers in both the drama "Alcohol At Wit's End" and sketch comedy "Alcohol Bait & Switch!"

Oriol-Rivera is a native of Vallejo, California. He obtained his Associates Degree in Theatre Arts, and is a Graduate of the Actors Training Program, at Solano Community College.

Oriol-Rivera was cast as Benny in the San Francisco production of "Rent," and Squeeler in "Animal Farm." He also appeared in the Solano Repertory Theater productions of "Cats" as Munkustrap, and "Hair" as Seeds and Munk. He has been cast in productions of "Sacagawea," "The Kentucky Cycle," "Migrant Farm," and "The House of Ramon Iglesia." His film credits include "Reality TV-The Movie," "Streets of Dead," and "Jackpot."

As Matai he is also an accomplished singer-songwriter, producer, and dancer. He is winner of the L.A. Music Awards' 2006 Independent R&B Artist of the Year, and signed to the Tokyo label P-Vine Records.

Oriol-Rivera divides his time between Los Angeles and the Bay Area. He enjoys music, baseball, and spending time with his wife and kids.
